Most compatable QD for Klasse SG?

As for QD, I don't like to use one after having driven the car. . . I'd rather wash it, to be certain that I'm not inducing any additional swirls in the paint (black is a &#$#, you know).

So what carwash do you use? Will any do? I normally use QEW but does this have some thing in it that will keep additional layers SG from bonding?

I have NXT wash, deep crystal wash, and DP auto bath.

I too preferr to QD a just washed car rather than chance putting swirls in by QD'ing a dusty car. I use NXT wash and have never had any negative results or effects whilst layering KSG and washing with NXT.

What do you use to get the best look out of SG? Going for maximum sihne on a silver/grey car.

Thanks,

Steve

I've had no bonding issues using EO QD with SG. I use Sonus Acrylic Spritz to make SG look really nice. I use EO only as tool, not to get the best look out of SG.

Some say just use water.

Personally, I use Griot's car wash. I like the lubricity, and the suds.

Unless the carwash has some type of wax additive, I don't think that there would be any interference with bonding of layers.

Actually, I don't know that I'm 'layering' the SG, using the method that I am. It's possible that there is a base layer under there, and each weekend I'm washing off the very thin layer that I applied the previous week. In any case, it doesn't really matter to me, as I wash/spraySG the car every weekend (unless weather dictates otherwise), so buildup of layers isn't really an issue for me. The car beads water like mad when I wash it, so I'm certain that whatever is there is protecting the paint quite well.

My primary goal isn't to build up layers of protection, but is to get a 'just waxed' look, every time I wash the car, with minimal time and effort (I've got too much else to do, to get neurotic about the car).

Give it a try. At worst, you're out about $3.00 for the spray bottle, and about $2.00 for the 2 oz. of KlasseSG (assuming that you already have a bottle on the shelf).

If just QD'ing, can't beat Sonus Acrylic Spritz. Nothing is as close to it in getting that fresh layer of SG-look.

Still, washing (with AIO in the wash mix) a car and applying another coat of SG (provided it already has the K twins and the paint is in good condition) gives the best results. The best look I get is when I have 5 (or more) coats of SG. I usually do the first coat the classic 12-hour method to get a good base then the rest are done WOWO.

If your car is more on the silver side, I prefer AIO and S100 wax. It's a great combination where I get shine, gloss, wetness and depth(!) on silver. If on the darker side of gray, AIO/SG is my preference.

If you intend to add future SG layers, I would be careful in using the new Sonus spritz that has replace the Glanz spritz. According to its listing in the Autopia Car Care Store, it uses 'a combination of waxes and....'.

SG doesn't happily live on top of carnauba. I suspect that once you use this new stuff....your days of SG layers are over until you AIO and start from scratch.

Myself, I have found that SG mixed 1:3 with filtered water makes a wonderful QD spray.

Thanks,

I'm going to try this SG/QD cocktail.

I started my winter prep on my 4Runner. So far I have almost 2 full layers of SG and it looks great. I am using Eagle One as QD. I have to add that SG removal is all in the towel. I have been using cut rate MF's from Sam's club for a while, last week I picked up these

WOW :shocked What a difference good quality towels make in SG removal.
