More newbie help requested

Despite what the Meguiar's guys tell you, GC has cleaners in it. So does #20 (the polymer sealant). The Meguiar's reps are not all equal. If you do a search, you'll see that people here have gotten all kinds of different answers to the same questions from different reps.

I don't know what you have in Montreal, but the #20 and #26 are from the Mirror Glaze line and can be gotten here in Vancouver at Lordco, and Auto Supply store. It can also be gotten at some of the speed shops where performance parts are sold.

I can easily believe that one might get different answers from different reps. I wish they had that info in the product descriptions on the bottle or on the website. I'm curious, how do you know it has cleaner? Is there a test?

I used Meguiar's website to locate some dealers of Meguiar's products in my area. I'll give them a try tomorrow, if they are open on Saturdays.

If you do a search on it, you will see most experience here has indicated the GC has cleaning properties. Not abrasives, but solvents. I have direct experience with #20, and it WILL clean. A simple test would be to look for a blem, like a scuff on your paint, and rub GC on it. If it removes the scuff, it has cleaners. If not, it doesn't. I know for a fact that #26, the Mother's pure carnauba, and the like, will not remove anything, no matter how hard you rub. Anything that DOES get rubbed off is from the nap of the material you use.

I would be interested in what you find, but there are a lot of experienced users here (including Carguy, I believe) who have reported that GC has cleaners.
