More Makita @ Autopia-CarCare!

Todd@RUPES

Just a regular guy

We have brought in more Makita power tools for you guys to play with!

Some highlights:

Makita BO6040 Orbital Sander/ Polisher

The Makita 6040 DA is also affectionately known as the Two-Mode for its ability to switch between RO (random orbit) and FR (forced rotation) mode with the turn of a dial.

Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Blower

The Makita Cordless Blower runs on a Lithium-Ion battery which gives it a long run time. With no cord to get tangled under tires or rub against paint, this makes blow drying your car incredibly easy, and the 176 mph+ velocity ensures that you can evacuate water completely from the tightest spots.

We have also brought in other Lithium-Ion tools including drills and drivers. Check them out at on our Makita page: Makita Power Tools

While you are visiting the store, make sure to check out the What's New page. We are constantly adding new products and lines! New Car Care Products

In the last week alone we have added new garage banners, as well as fortified our already impressive 3M line, brought in the limited edition Dodo Juice Carnauba Cream Egg, added new BLACKFIRE kits, and are now carrying two sizes of the Chinchilla microfiber towel.

There is a misprint in the description of the blower:

This blower is also great for blowing out your interior and loosening any girt prior to vacuuming. Should be "grit" instead of "girt".

Maybe it removes girt as well? :rofl

Thanks for pointing that out Shane.

You don't have an aunt Girt??? :rofl

I'm sure it would get her out of your car if you used the blower on her.

Todd, I too would be interested in a review of the Makita BO6040 Orbital Sander/ Polisher. I looks more like a wood working sander than a polisher but you never know.

If the The Makita 6040 DA is anything like the other Makita products I personally own it'll be a top contender in any arena. I have a Makita rotary buffer, cordless drill, 5" orbital sander, router, 90 degree angle drill and I'd rate them 5 stars...:bigups

I played with one a long time ago, I am excited at giving this one a shot tomorrow.

I found that alot of new folks getting to detailing their boats and rides have gotten a Makita BO6040 because of the ease of just doing a twist of the knob. With a simple turn of a knob, the Makita BO6040 changes from a traditional random-orbital polisher into a forced rotation orbital polisher. it's because it's two polishers in one which some have being looking for and love. I only got to use one for about 10 minutes and was impress of the way it handle and ease of turning the knob to get more power.

I have the Makita Blower and use it to blow dry all the nook and crannies that trap water. I also use it to dry my rotors after washing. Nothing worse then having rust getting on your clean wheels after a short drive. No more dragging out the extension cord either.

I played with the Makita "Two Mode" yesterday, I will post a review in the near future.

It is plenty powerful and the ability to switch is very cool. It is a very unique concept on the DA polishers.
