More know it all's...

I have to admit it's somewhat amusing when the subject of detailing comes up on other car forums. Something like, "Hey, isn't Armor All the best?"

Some what off topic, but i had an older gentleman stop by today and ask me to look at his newer black car. He wanted to know why his paint had swirls-scratches all over. I asked how he washed and dried his car.

Coin-op and leather chamois. When i brought up it was probably his leather chamois, he said he paid $35 for it and that can't be it. Well after a few minutes of disagreeing he stormed off.

Well he asked my opinion.

Could be other things too like the brush he used, or the fact that coin-ops leave a film of dirt on the paint that he'd be rubbing into the paint with his chamoissss loll

Well he said he didn't use the brush. Just soap wash and rinse with coin-op and then leather chamois dry. He didn't want to believe that his expensive chamois would scratch his paint.
