More Foam Guns (Coming) Arrived

So you used no bucket in this wash and dry. Just a wet mitt and your foam gun.

Do you think that a dirtier vehicle could be used in this process? An example would be....clean truck driven in the rain on a highway for a 100 miles. Return home and it is covered in road grime. At 15 minutes to wash your vehicle it maybe advantageous to have the soap gun for those quick clean ups I always seem to be doing after a rain storm here in Texas.

are people using this foam gun with just a simple wash mitt ? :book: & not using the two bucket method ?

This really depends on how dirty the car is..I use one bucket here in CA but my cars are not that dirty...this really sprays soap all over the car in an even way so its really a time saver not to mention the other uses of the FG

Nope, still three bucket method. I don't find the foam gun as a time saver (on the front end), but an added measure of safety to prevent/reduce the opportunity for washing induced marring. In fact, in my experience thus far, the foam gun actually adds additional time to the wash process.

For those of you doing winter washes..I just did my minivan , which hasn't been washed in months:redface: , and tried a new mixture , I put 2oz of Super Slick & Suds with 2 oz of Bug Squash and not only was there more suds and lubrication than I could ever imagine, it cleaned incredibley well too!! (there was about 2 oz of the mixture left after washing)
All the months of grime just slid off. I used two mitts, and two buckets of clean water(one with a grit guard) . Also sprayed the mitts with the mixture while they were on the windshield. Rinsed the van and used some Spray & Gloss while drying with two 24x 36 waffle weaves. Neither towel was totally saturated after drying as the van seemed to just sheet off the bulk of the water. I'll try and get some pictures tomorrow as it was getting dark when I finished.

A few more foam guns are left in this batch and more will be arriving soon:)

Steve, what mix ratio (which hole on the brass slide thingy  ) did you use. I've been experimenting with the proper mixture and settings, primarily I've been adding water and soap (5pts water 1pt soap) and using the second hole from the right which is the next to largest hole.

I don't want to waste product, or under lubricate so I'm trying to find the balance. Any insight would be appreciated.

I use the smallest mixture hole...when only using a couple ounces of product, i really don't consider cost a factor considering the lubrication and ease of cleaning i get in return. The alternative is using slightly less product and chancing the movement of dirt and getting swirls. The time and products in removing the swirls would cost more IMO.

Call me Lazy, but i don't measure out the soap. i add what i think is enough and foam away, rinse and foam again then go ahead with my wash. I always have soap left over in the bottle . I'll save the left over soap in a spray bottle and add it to the jar with some extra soap for the next car wash. I can't bring myself to toss it..

I'm not trying to be cheap or frugal. I can't see tossing out a perfectly good product for the sake of having some left over.does this make sense to you guys?

sure I almost always have leftover too... I just keep it in the jar or find another job for the remainder like the windows on the house;)

Current orders are packed and ready to go...some should be arriving as early as tomorrow.:D ...there are still some available for anyone interested:)
