Monitor your gas prices.....

My van just drank 29 gallons at $3.139 about three hours ago; cheapest (76, Chevron, or Shell) fuel in SB. Ridiculous. McCormix diesel is just above three bucks too!!

Don´t whine about the gas prices. :furious: Move to Sweden and pay $1,52 for one liter/~32oz gasoline! :hairpull

You pay ~$3 for 1 gallon and that is 3.7854118 Liter. Wich give us the price of ~.8$/liter

I pay $1,52 for 1liter. And Americans pays 80cent for 1 liter. I pay 2 times that. You guys can´t talk about crazy gas prices!

I am talking about 95 octane.

I payed $1.30/ltr. for 91octane.

Damn you guys got some cheap gas . Today I paid $3.17 for regular in New Jersey . In the Philly area it's $3.35 and up for reg.

$2.99 at a Shell station for regular and everywhere else is either $3.09, $3.19, or out of gas. So it sucks to be driving right now. And the Shell station's price was an anomalie.

The rumor I had heard was it should peek this weekend.....Wells are slowly coming back to life in the Gulf coast area...Things will stabilize hopefully, then return to a more digestible level....

Cheapest gas I saw yesterday was 2.69 for premium. Most stations are at 2.79-2.82 in my area of Long Island. Regular gas is about .20 cents cheaper. We filled both cars last week before the storm for 2.99 a gallon. Not because the storm was coming, I always fill up before labor day as prices go up that weekend.

it dropped here, it was 3.40 all weekend, then yesterday it dropped back down to around $3. I think the cheapest one here is now like 2.97 or so for 87 oct. I guess I shouldn't complain, coming home from college this weekend and going back I got 40MPG in the cavalier, but it still sucks that 5 gallons of gas costs like $16.

I love seeing these threads on US forums. I was in Florida a few weeks back and the ads I saw amazed me. In the US, us can buy European cars the same as in the UK, but you guys get them cheaper and with longer warrenty!! How does that work? They have to travel 10 times further to get to the US too.

Also, I had a Jeep Grand Cherokie while I was there. It cost $45 to completely fill up - to fill the car car in the UK would cost over $100. Motoring is so much cheaper in the US, along with everything else too.

I own a small 3 bedroom terraced house, it has a small garage and garden (yard), it is valued at around $380,000. In the US I could buy a mansion with that cash!! It really makes me want to leave this crap hole.

Sorry - a bit off topic I know....

From what I know, the high price of your gas has a lot to do with it being taxed to death. We in the US pay taxes in other ways along with the taxes that are on gas. If you bring that $380k to southern California, you will live in the "ghetto!"

I'd like to say that regular gas was $1.39 here at my local 711 here this weekend for regular.

However, a few friends and I changed the price cards around on the sign. They were selling it for$3.19 :p
