Mod #2 done to the truck..

This is a verry small mod to the Zq8... The stock trucks come with it but the ZQ8s they take it off because it makes it to low.. we guess...

I wonder why they take it off? It can't be because of looking too low. Most (actually, all) other car manufacturers have some form of a lower chin spoiler on their cars :nixweiss



Did you have to ask for it, or did they just include it with the truck?

Well it is all the 4x4's and "higher" 2wds that have them stock, a reg 2wd is atleast 2in higher than a ZQ8.. I suppose that this would make it to low?



No it is not included.. you have to ****gasp!*** Buy! it on your own.. for the cost of an ok sit down meal..
 
Who knows why GM does anything they do... Personally, I think I like it better without the chin spoiler -- I think it looks cleaner -- but it's not my truck ;) I might like it better if it were color keyed like the rest.



Do you know if the newer ZQ8 is actually 2" lower than the standard Z85? In the past they've always said they were 2" lower, but in reality are really only 1.5 -- close enough I guess.



I like the way they look... I always get suckered into spending the extra on the ZQ8, but then wish I would have just dropped it myself, and bought different wheels anyway :(



Anyway... I like the new body style and always like red :D And I really like yours.

Well I drove a reg Z85.. it was way soft.. go drive one, then take out a ZQ8 It is what I did.. The Z is way more stiff and drives more like a sports car than a truck...



And no I like it Black.. no plan as of now to paint..
 
Dang, man, nice truck!! But you beat me to it.... I want the exact same thing but as a crew cab. Once again, I'm jealous of RCG. :wavey
 
very nice. it's looks weird without it, especially since you can see the mounting holes. and being too low didn't stop ford from putting a chin spoiler on the mach1's. ;) :D just be careful of blown tire debris on the highway.

Well there is not a plan for any.. I may do a FIPK or an intake like that but that would be it..



If I want to go fast.. Just open up the other garage door.. The SS always wants to come out and play :)
 
i always see a little colorado like yours but in black on a rack at the local dealer. what size engine comes in those and do they come in a manual,



sharp truck, would love to have one for a daily driver :xyxthumbs

I'm sure all the 2 foot tall people out there can see the holes... I don't think you'd see them at a 'normal' height. But maybe.

Ya, Mine is a 5speed and a 5cl, they are rated at 220HP but I didnt buy it to be fast... The ZQ8 pacage makes it a fun little truck to drive thought. I am really liking it more and more every day.. :)
