Mobile detailing paint correction lights

I was thinking about purchasing a Brinkmann Maxfire Dual Xenon Spotlight but I also see some people using prop up lights that illuminate a bigger area, any recommendations?
 
i think there was a post about different light settings, but different types of lights will show you different defects depends on budget and needs etc...I wish I remembered the differences for my own sake too..but the brinkman seems to cover enough bases to make it worthwhile
 
I wish i could find the post i searched maybe 15-30 min before giving up and making this post, right now i use lights from the garages i work in, along with the sun, and I can make the paint look maybe 85-95% swirl free but that last part is hard to see and correct. People love my work but I still don't think Im at autopia perfection until there is not 1 swirl mark on the car!
 
Between halogens, your brinkman and a good LED ( Fenix TK11 ) you should be able to pick up pretty much everything. The LED is important as on softer paints, the halogens will make you think the finish is flawless whereas the LED will pick up all the micro marring.
 
Im mobile right now and plan to expand to a shop in the future, for right now I plan on getting the Workforce Twin Head 1,000-Watt Halogen Telescoping Work Light form Home depot, the spotlight for now.

And its great. I had the halogens on stands and they kept blowing bulbs. Got sick of it and found this in the local Lowes. Been dropped several times now and still works like a champ.



I wouldn't mind having a good quality flash light that you wear on your head, but for now; this is working just fine.



Although, if you can afford it; metal halides are the way to go.
 
If there is interest I can post the complete build and parts list on a 4 spot LED stand. I built it from and existing halogen stand. It is waterproof and functional on and off the tripod. Works just like the halogens but light is adjustable with 3600 lumens of LED spot like a brinkman but stays on. Unit only draws around 80watts and uses existing harness.
