Hey Guys, what size are your water tanks and how many cars are you getting out of them. i.e. pre rinse, rims and wheel wells, fill bucket, rinse soap.

Also, what toll is the extra weight taking on your vehicle?

THANKS!

I don`t know of too many guys here rolling with a tank. I`d like to get one at some point. The research I`ve done I`m thinkin for myself (1 car/day) a 75 gallon tank would be more than enough for a whole job

the folks at Detail King told me I should expect to use 8-10 gallons per vehicle with a pressure washer. I think that sounds about right. the 100gal/wash numbers put out by the tree huggers seem to assume you`re leaving the hose running the entire time you`re washing.

I say I use ~50 gallons give or take 20, but I waste water because it`s free and unlimited (no shortage when you live on an island in the middle of the biggest river in north America - by volume/discharge)

I some time have to go to this town that is 100 miles away. I usually pull it with no water and get about 16 MPG. I one left some water in it about 25 gallons and go 10 MPG getting back. So I always only put enough water in my tank for the job I am working on and If I am going somewhere far I usually carry it empty or with just enough water and when I am done I drain it there and hall it back empty.
