Mobile Detailers check this out!

So It turns out these things are pretty flemzy to high gust of winds, I had weights on two different sides but not all four. I pulled the car in the shop earlier that morning and left the tent out side. and came back at lunch and this is what I found? :(

Over all I still like the tent and want another one, but I HIGHLY HIGHLY recomend some Heavy weights on all FOUR corners.

I will probably buy another one just because for $179 shipped for a 10x15 tent that matches my business colors, It worked great the 4 times that I used it, I just didn't weigh it down like I should had.

I dont know about 5 gal buckets filled with bricks. that just doesn't seem like the professional look that I want to send out. good idea, but I am trying to work up to very expensive cars and I dont see people w/ exotic or high end cars asking a guy to come work on their porsche or benz with bricks and a bucket. Not trying to offend anyone. I just want to have a real professional look. Those weights on the bottom is a great idea.

So fill them with Krugerands!

Man sorry to hear about the tent/canopy. I am in the market for one but not sure if I want to get something like yours or spend the extra money I really DONT have currently and buy a EZ-UP canopy. I do want a 10X15 for sure though for the SUV's and van's.

If I understand correctly, you did not set it up properly. Yes?

when i spoke with them on the phone initially he told me "they are heavy enough to withstand wind." Such is not the case. I even had 10lb weights on each corner holding it down and the sucker still launched.

i'm going to call and see if i can raise enough hell. I suggest you do the same thing Tru: 866-324-1395

I don't think 40lb is enough to hold down anything that will act as a parachute in a gust of wind.

Dont get me wrong guys, I will buy another one, It was really nice, my only complaint is the cheap sowing on the velcro straps, and it probly wouldn't have blown away like that with a car under it breaking up the wind. I like it, its a 10x15 and it just needs good weights.

My conversation during the intitial purchase went as such:

me: "we get really high winds here, do you sell sand bags or anything to keep it down?"

them: "no, it's heavy enough that it won't blow in the wind"

So I called them a minute ago, and discussed my issue. They are going to send me the new legs I need since mine all broke. I just have to pay shipping. That sits right with me.

Tru-call them man, i spoke with Ken, maybe you'll get some luck with it too, your situation is a bit different, as your whole canopy was mangled.

Yeah I might do that, I dont know what to say though? " hey, wind caught my canopy and mangled it all up, can I have a new one?"

I hate to spend more money buying another one but it wasn't their fault?

Be mad and persistent. No one wants people bad mouthing their products, so you're likely to get some sort of help. Throw in Autopia and the fact that you're going to give the canopy either a :xyxthumbs or a :tribe: and they should help out even more.

considering that in their Ebay ad they say "please let us try to resolve things before posting negative feedback" I would definately give it a shot. Maybe you can get another one for half price. That would be worth the call in my book.

Was anything left working on your canopy? the legs? the canvas? the walls? maybe if you just need the X-frame and legs you can get that for cost + shipping.
