Okay i have read through ALOT of threads (i like to search forums, wish more people would lol) and found alot of people using various carrying bags, boxes, totes ect. NONE of them are practical for me. They are either to small or dont have enough seperation for my various products. The problem is i detail at my customers homes (freinds, family and coworkers mainly for now, starting to get bigger than that already). Problem is i dont know what im up against till i get there. Well obviously i have to bring ALL my supplies, tools and products becuase of this. Is there anyone out there in the same boat as me? What do you use?

I need to carry at least:

Carwash

MF wash mit

1 bottle dawn original dish soap

1 claybar with lube

1 bottle QD

1 bottle of paint cleaner

5 different polishes

3 different carnauaba (sp?) waxes, paste and liquid.

3 different sealants

3 different types of tire shine

glass cleaner

4 different types of metal/chrome polishes

5 Clean rags

30-40 Mf towels

2-3 MF drying towels

tire brush

leather cleaner

leather conditioner

PC 7424

extension cord

12 various pads

5 hand pads

Tooth pics and cotton swabs

Thats just the "at least" list.

What should i do?

I was thinkin about putting alot of my polishes and liquid waxes in smaller bottles, but what kind of bottles would work really good?

Any kind of help would be great!!

I have two 18 gal bins that I take everywhere with me.....one has all the bottles/sprayers/products, and the other has all my towels, Qtips, shop towels....then I have two duffle bags for the polisher and applicators, and one for all the pads and brushes, I just throw it in the back of my truck and off I go...really easy to keep storage space to a minimum!

I also throw in the back of the truck outside of the bins my vacuum, step stool, buckets, extension cord, and whatever else I may need....but the bins hold the products and towels.

Im in the same boat as you...One solution I seen at Menards was a rolling tool cabinet, more vertical than horizontal, had a seperate level that lifted off, could hold small detailing brushes and q-tips. I cannot think of the name of it as I didnt purchase it yet bc I had to measure my bottles. Im going to pick up 2 of them - There are 2 different name brands...one is really cheaply made and not very sturdy in my opinion and the other one is more durable...possibly a stanley? May be worth looking into

Here is a link I found: http://www.stanleytools.com/default...MBER=18500&SDesc=Mobile+Work+Center+TM+4+in+1

The second link is the cheaper one I seen - Sorry cant remember the other one right now..Gives you an idea what to look for, easily could fit in a backseat

I've been using these "rolling totes" that are avaliable at CT. The wheels of each cart are designed to stack on the lid of the other cart. So you can roll around an ENTIRE stack very easily...Here's a pic of some of these totes with a few of my supplies in them...

Notice my third tote has a lot of MF's in it. I can simply fit these in my trunk anywhere!! Something like this should definitly do you...I've also got a regular sized tote beside it for larger items.

Wow! Those look very nice ^^ What is CT? Im not familiar with that, or what brand are they? Maybe I could find them online! Thank you!

Ooops sry I should have been clearer....CT is "Canadian Tire". It's just a general store we have here in Canada. Similar to your Home Depot. I found these in the housewares section. They had TONS of totes...

Im sure if you go to your local Home Depot and look in the tote section, they'll have something similar to these.

I'll check who they're made by when I get a chance...I did aquick search on the CT website but they don't seem to show them online..

Thanks guys your giving me GREAT ideas.

I went to home depot, menards, lowes, meijers and target lookin. I havent decided yet what im gonna do. I found some awsome rolling tool chest that are a heavy duty plastic that would be perfect, i would need at least 2 of those plus a bigger type tote.

Im wondering about the liquid products i use, what are some bottles you guys are putting them in? If i could put all my liquid products into bottles that are all the same size that alone will save room.

I use bottles from the 99cent store and they are holding up better than the ones I got from the detailing store for 4 bucks each.....also, I got my totes from the local walmart for about 8 bucks total....

Awesome thread idea.

Right now i use rubermaids for all my stuff.

One for extractor

One for spray bottles

One for Aerosols

One for hoses 37gal

One for Towels 37gal

One for buffers, pads, big brushes 37 gal

One for Brushes, razor blades, clay, applicators, etc.

Im looking for some kind of cart now. I would really like one of those plastic dresser like deals for all my pads, applicators, towels, etc.
