Missing Post Count

The reason I say that its not a good indicator of knowledge is because you don't necessarily learn everything you know about detailing on Autopia. If a new detailing board were to start up and we all joined at the same time, does that mean that we are suddenly all idots about detailing? The post count doesn't say anything about how much you know. Technically you would think that the guys who do the most detailing should probably have the lowest post counts. Not many internet connections available out in the field while you are detailing. :lol The post count has nothing to do with your level of knowledge. It just points to how much time you have to post on Autopia.

:lol and for quite some time, the person with the most time to post on Autopia was you!

The last couple of winters, the crappy weather left me with little else to do other than post here and on OT. :(

And for once, I agree with dternst. I would never simply look at a high post count and automatically assume that means that person is the most knowledgeable. Look at Superior Shine's post count for example. Pretty low but he is probably one of the top detailers in California, if not the whole United States.
