Meguiars Mirror Bright Wheel Cleaner
Recently won the entire Mirror Bright Kit from a giveaway on the forum. Thank you ACC!
I wanted to try some of this stuff out. I decided to pull out my old factory alcoa srt wheels (black chromed by calchrome back in 2009) that I plan on selling soon. I figured I'd to give this product a go since it's new and others might be curious.
Anyways on with the review....
First off its very important to this review that you note these wheels were well maintained so the color changing ability of this wheel cleaner is not properly illustrated (except on the barrels).
That being said here's the wheel..pulled out of a box stacked in my spare bedroom since last july, sprayed with water prior to the cleaner
I wasnt expecting color changing on the face
some color changing noticed (like i said wheels were well maintained)
BUT these wheels were on my car for 7 years and 68k miles. I never really cleaned the barrels with anything besides soap and water.
Sprayed
after about 45 seconds
Smell: not good, i used bdx, wolfs iron and this on my first wheel cleaned
They all smell bad. This is no exception. Wearing a mask and gloves are recommended.
Foaming action was nice compared to the other two mentioned above.
on the barrels it color changed quickly, within 15 to 20 seconds
The price is good. Its $8 on ACC. Compared to the other brands its a good buy IMO.
Thanks for viewing
