Minor swirls in silver SSR1 ?

I have a 05 Silverado and it has some dealer swirls and scratches in it. I just bought a PC,Sonus pad kit,and some SSR2.5 and SSR1. I also have AIO and UPP. I was wondering what you guys would use on it and if you polish does it take away some of the clearcoat? I dont want to make my clearcoat too thin by polishing too much. What would you do to take light swirls out? What steps would you use with the products i have?
 
I would try ssr 2.5 with a polishing pad first. Spread it on speed 3 then work it really slow on speed 5-6 untill it starts to become translucent, then buff off with MF. If that doesn't work do the same with a cutting pad then follow with polishing pad. Do a search on this as there are a lot of post's on this subject and also read the learn section as well :bigups .
 
I would try the SSR 1 first it didnt do much on my black car though so ended up using the SSR 2 on a polishing pad. SSR 1 is very mild so I think you may need to step up to remove them.
