Minor Scratches. Method of attack.......

I have a few minor scratches on my vehicles. They are your typical "White line" scratches. As if a key hit the car or something small dragged across the paint.

I just picked up this kit...

CCS Spot Buffs 4 Inch Foam Pad Kit Free Bonus!

Regarding compounds i have Poorboys SSR 2.5, Menz 203, and Meguires Scratch X 2.0.

What technique would you guys use to remove the scratches? I'm wondering if i should use the flat pads in the kit or stay with the CCS pads. Also, should i stick with my PC or use the drill attachment?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

The best way to find out what will work best on your paint is for you to experiment. I'd suggest using the 4" flat orange pad and the SSR2.5 on your PC at speed 5-6. After spreading the product, apply some pressure for a few passes and then lighten the pressure for the final pass or two to finish breaking down the polish. Remove residue with a towel, inspect, and repeat a few times if necessary.

Once you get it looking like you want it, Do you need to wash the Car again before putting a Sealant on it or not?

Depends whether there's polish residue that needs cleaned off and/or whether the polish you used might cause bonding issues with the sealant.
