minor body damage

backing out of my driveway hit my neighbors car. did a lot of damage to her car given the slow speed i was going. barely did anything to my car. just about 3 or 4 dime sized paint chips and then some scuff marks a little. buffed it but the marks didn't come out. next plan should be what? i know the paint chips are going to need the little touch-up paint you get at pep boys. wouldn't be the first time i've done it. advice for the scuff marks though? maybe i should keep buffing with the PC? thanks.

Get the touch up paint from the dealership! It will match better!

sounds like you need to use a cutting pad with something like DACP, 3m finecut, etc

Not really alot of options other than touch up/sand or professionally have it repaired/refinished.

I recommend repaint. Especially for your neighbor. If the touch up doesn't look good after a while they're always going to have it hanging over your shoulder.

well the neighbor is going to use my insurance because hers is definitely worse than mine. but mine is like nothing. i tried DACP and a cutting pad and it did a little bit but not a lot. i will get pics up later.

i have a question about filling in spots with touch-up paint. how do you even out the paint to the level of the rest of the paint on the car? always seems when i use it the result is a raised spot of paint. thanks.

apply the paint, let it dry, then sand/polish it down level
