Minivan Nightmare Revisited

:lmfao:lmfao:lmfao through this entire thread. These pics bring back memories. We had a full size van with 3 small girls riding in it everyday. I found crayons and food in the cigarette lighters, food, pens, pencils, books down between the seats and cushions, spilled drinks everywhere. Well you get/got /have the picture. Thanks Steve for making me laugh. I:love: it!:passout:

oops I think I forgot to look in there :hmmm: ... too late :D

Haven't had the nerve to look in the vac yet :lol2:

so far I've used 2oz of APC mixed with 30oz of water , a couple of bottles of very hot water, a brush, and some Trim Restorer. Not bad for an old man :passout:
oh yeah and a couple of Alleves :rofl

Steve i think someone is calling you out...

I wouldn't use APC on carpets. Use a carpet specific cleaning solution. APC's usually will leave soapy residue behind that will attract soil. I can't remember exactly how to test it. But I'm pretty sure you can pour a little of your APC on a dish and microwave it to dry it out. Then you feel the dish surface to see if it's sticky. That's off the top of my head. If anyone know's this tip and want's to correct me, feel free.

I guess that would depend on the APC ;) mine doesn't ...no soapy residue, drys clean and does not attract soil. Properly diluted, in this case 15:1, it does its job and that's it :) Maybe it's time for you to change to a better APC :D :notme:

Yes it does depend on the APC and no I'm not calling anyone out.

If Steve wants to ruin his minivan using APC, I'm not going to stop him.

:rofl Just Kidding.

I did qualify my statement by giving you a method to test the APC to see how sticky it's residue would be.

All APC's are not the same. In general though an APC is not a good choice for carpet cleaning.

I don't want to list examples of bad APC's or good APC's. Just do the test to make sure you aren't creating a problem as you're fixing one.;)
