Would using mineral spirits as a final wipe down be a good idea before a LSP? Not sure if it will leave a residue that would interfere.

LSP is Klasse HGSG and thinking of using a fine polishing compound (by hand) before applying LSP. Was going to use a QD to clean polish but have Mineral Spirits too.

Isopropyl alcohol works great for most everything if you want to take it a step further you could use Earaser from carpro (someone suggested)

If all you have is MS, that would work.
I prefer Carpro Eraser in this case.

By the way you have phrased your question, I assume you're going to be doing this after polishing.
If that's the case, then another suggestion would be to use a compound/polish combo that has no fillers ie optimum hyper compound/polish
A damp MF towel wipe would be all that's needed to prepare for LSP

Good advice, but if you are using an oil based polish, IPA or Prep Sol would be a better choice.

Just do an IPA wipe down, or use a chemical cleaner like poorboys pro polish or similiar from many vendors.
That will leave a clean surface (oil free) to do you lsp

I have never done or used IPA but here is another alternative Griot's Garage Pre-Wax Cleaner I have used it and it seems to work.

If you are looking to clean to check after polishing I like Menzerna Top Inspection

Are OHC/OHP oil based?
I believe Optimum is water based.

Why not use KAIO? After all, the two are meant to work with each other - KAIO to clean and prep the paint prior to application of KSG. I've also read that used together, they work synergistically to increase the durability of the sealant.
