Mine with Kamakaze ISM

Finally got a chance to try out ISM this weekend. Polished with Sonax 4/6 on yellow Ruoes pad, went back over with Meguiars 205 on white Rupes pad, both with Rupes 15 and Kamakaze beast backing plate.
I found it to be extremely easy to apply and wipe off. I followed the instructions and in an air conditioned shop let it sit 5 minutes. I then coated an entire side and still found it easy to remove.
i think the results speak for themselves. Thanks for looking!

Mile I love how it looks black is a color you can hide a thing on. Love the reflections.

I have consistently seen you post just unbelievable jobs. Is ism a coating or a sealant? I know it's low voc. what are its outstanding characteristics suppose to be. I know very little about this product. Glad you posted. Please keep us up to speed as it ages.

What I really want to know is what I can't see on line. Is it more or less slick than other coatings is is more or less self cleaning. How does it bead. How long does it last. I know you already said it's easy to apply and remove.

It looks great.

Btw was the gyeon mohs plus hard to polish off?

Been waiting for this post. Yet another excellent looking car!!! Keep us updated as this coating ages a bit. Also, in time let us know how you like it compared to some of the other coatings you've used. Did you get the Overcoat as well?

It feels slicker than any other I have used. I spent a lot of time polishing the Gyeon off. It took me about 5 hours of steady work. I will wipe it down with overcoat tomorrow morning.
thanks so much for the kind words!
Todd told me he chooses this coating if you want the deep rich look of a wax, but for extreme durability it's Gyeon

Great job on the black paint, Kamikaze makes some incredible products, I have their Overcoat which is amazing stuff.

This is a great post, and your car looks really top notch....

But when I think of "kamikaze" I think of this:

...desperate flyers of Imperial Japan crashing into American ships. Maybe I'm nuts, but I would never use anything called "kamikaze", in respect for the AMERICAN soldiers who died during those events.

I'm obviously not Mr Politically Correct either, but something about that is WRONG.

Although highly publicized, the kamakaze program in WWII was a total failure. The "kill rate" as in sinking our ships was very low compared to the hundreds of Japanese pilots who committed suicide. The name is a very poor choice.

I think you should direct your question and comment to the owner of Kamakaze as to the name. My dad was a WWII vet and knowing him I do not think he would have been offended at someone who has taken the initiative to work very hard at creating a very good product and busting his butt to provide for his family.
just my opinion

Awesome work as always Mike. I am more interested in the Sonax 4/6. How did you like it? I am wanting to try both 4/6 and Cutmax really bad.

4/6 I would say is a little more aggressive than 205 and finishes very well. Cut max works great on a microfiber pad and littl to no dust.

Very nice Mike.

I am considering ISM on an upcoming white GTI but think maybe Geyon would be the better choice to get the gloss.
