Thanks Everyone...been to the Emergency Room twice this weekend after two 911 calls...he fell twice and there was no way I was going to be able to lift him off the floor.:nono ....nothing broken or really hurt.After taking x-rays, it seems to be a really bad case of authritis in his shoulders and he's unable to use either of his arms. I can't believe something like this could happen so rapid or advance to this degree in a matter of days. More doctors appts. in the next few days and I have no idea what the near future holds... and to top it all today is his Birthday...what a way to spend it:(

I am sure it is a comfort that you are so close and available.
I agree that it does seem "unusual" for arthritis to advance this rapidly & suddenly, but I am not medically trained. I hope the doctors' appointments will yield some better answers. :kneel

Yes Norah we are hoping for a non-eventful day:rolleyes: I haven't heard from him yet and I'm not sure if that's good or bad:dunno ....he could be sitting in a chair listening to a radio or he could be on the floor again:eek ..I guess I'll just have to go over and find out:(

Well let's hope that he's sitting in a chair listening to a radio! And may the docs find out what's wrong with him so they can treat him.

Thanks for the update Steve, I too hope this day is uneventfull and that they can find out what is wrong and get him treated.
 
What a long night...another 911 call , this time he fell and hit his head:nono
5 hours in the ER and they finally admitted him:rolleyes: at least now there will be someone to watch him day and night and rails to keep him in bed.......

Sorry to hear that you had another long night with your grandfather :(
But as you say, at least he is now "contained", and perhaps that will "encourage & enable" the doctors to find a reason for his latest problems. :kneel
