Hi all,

This might be a stupid question about shampoos, but here it goes...:

I am looking for a good shampoo that removes swirls and those fine small scratches and of course all the dirt... Does that exists? Thanks in advance.

Regards,

W.

Plain and simple. A product like this doesn't exists. If it did we would never have to polish our cars again since all we would have to do is wash it a few times. Polishing is the only way to remove swirls and scratches.

Heh, I know what you mean. But by their nature, glazes do not remove swirls... They merely mask or fill in, correct?

How about washing the car with a bottle of Menzerna...haha.

yeah thats what i meant. just be filled in not removed

Lol so it was stupid, thanks :P. I think i remember that there's a shampoo that also does a bit of waxing?

not stupid, dont let our banter get you down. its just that there are so many products out there that mislead consumers, its really sad to see some of the crap people buy. but there are wash and waxes, but if you want it done right you have to use a separate wash and then wax. at least in my opinion

I always thought the purpose of a wash and wax soap was simply so that you could not remove the wax you currently have on the car? It does not add. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Wash-and-wax car shampoos only add a tiny bit of wax while washing. In reality, they're only good for mildly strengthening an existing layer of regular wax (or sealant). Alone, they won't provide adequate protection (or beauty), and they certainly won't polish out imperfections.

There is no magic do-it-all product. You must wash first, then polish and wax.
