Might want to block out your license plate

maybe I'm just being ignorant, (good possibility...) but I don't understand the need to block out the plate in pics. what's the difference between someone getting the tag number on the web in a pic, or just seeing your vehicle driving down the street? Again, I just don't really understand the difference. Could someone shed some light on this for me?

BTW, the Ford looks great Superior Detail!!! What kind of wheels are those? they look great on your Explorer!!

Some people are just paranoid.

nice clean ride.

regarding plates...i find it much more likely a psycho will find you via seeing you on the street (road rage...maybe you cut them off and they note your plate, etc) vs. a psycho online seeing it in a pic. :)

of course, i still block all the plates out that i post...mostly for privacy of my customers.

Whats the easiest way to block out the plates for posting pictures?

Love that ride man! DUB wheels look nice!

Would Paint do it? I have photoshop but no idea how to use it. got it for free from a friend.

in photoshop, you can just take the Jpeg file from anywhere, drag it into the photoshop window, then there are 100s of ways to block it out... easiest is to take the brush tool and simply draw over the #s

One way, which I learned from Joe (superior shine) is to actually make a license plate-sized plate (could be your logo, name, or simply just cardboard) and tape that onto the license plates...
