Microrestore and related products

So, I bought two 32-oz bottles of Micro Restore MF Cleaner at Premiumautocare (I was paying shipping for some of the freebie deals there, and figured what the heck?). Although I now have aboug 20 MF towels from Autofiber and pakshak, I seem to get them dirty quickly and thought I'd like to try Micro Restore or something like it.

To be honest, I can't see any real benifit to this product. It doesn't seem to be offering anything that plain ordinary TIDE can't do.

Am I wrong?

Well if you ask my opinion I think its another product that fooled us.Just for the hell of it I washed some MF with Micro restore and MF with regular Tide I did not see a difference.Fool me once you can't fool me again.Did anyone do the same?

My findings were the exact opposite. SilverLexus gave me a sample of Micro Rejuvenator and I could tell a big difference in my mf towels...they felt new again and only the cheapo Target mf had static cling. I have since tried the Sonus mf wash and found it to be excellent as well. Previously I was washing with All Free & Clear or Woolite.

Unfortunately, I got fooled twice. Because I bought two 32-oz bottles of MR. For the same money, I could have bought four or five bottles of Tide.

It is clear to me that hte MicroRestore does nothing for making the cloths any cleaner than regular detergent. Perhaps it keeps them softer or something, because they are fewer deposits. But, personally, I doubt it.

Like you, I'd like to hear about others' experiences.

My experience with Sonus Wunder Wasche was great. My towels came out much, much softer than with regular liquid detergent. We have pretty hard water here in Omaha; maybe the difference between regular laundry detergent and microfiber-dedicated detergent is more pronounced in a hard-water environment? Regardless, I'll be buying more . . . I only wish it was available in larger bottles.

I think its worked somewhat well. Not cheap or really in bulk, but I think good for washes here and there.

I'm not sure. Trying washing the towels about 10 times with Tide. Do the same with MicroRestore. Check the towels. I believe that you will find that Tide is leaving residue on the towel and they get flat and lifeless. (That's my understanding.)

As a cheaper alternative, just wash a couple towels in MR ONCE (since it's expensive) and then a couple of towels in Tide 10 times.

See if they feel the same and absorb the same.

Regards,

Dan.

I don't know a whole lot about the chemicals that come into play with laundry detergents but I've heard a number of times the great majority of them contain phosphates, which(hype, exaggeration? says) could be a bad thing ( certain amounts not good?) :nixweiss

I wonder if this Micro Restore stuff is sorta like those phosphate free, non mainstream, environmentally friendly, best thing since sliced bread, etc "alternative" detergents.

Thats exactly what I think Micro Restore is. I just think it is basic laundry detergent with fewer additives.

I notice that it does not sud much, for whatever that is worth.

Well when I wash my towels in tide or any detergent that I use I have no problem when waxing my car.I looked closely at the towel that I use and have no problem. Is it possible that after washing 10x with Tide my towels wont be as good as if I washed 10x with Microrestore yes it is possible, but I have so many towels and alternate them so I could not tell you
