Microfiber wash mits

Was in Costco today and say a 5pk of MF wash mitts mor 9.99. They actually looked pretty well made. Don't know if anyone has tried them yet. If so, what is your opinion. For $10, worth a shot. They are very soft. They also had Meg's Gold Wash for $8.60 for 160oz. That is real cheap if you like their wash.

i dont know if i got the same one you got but i bought a pack of 16microfibers for 10bucks at costco. i use them on my car and i really like the softness of them. they came in yellow and i really like them. never had a problem with it.

make sure when you buy microfibers, cut the white tags that sticks out on one end. cut the tag off because ive heard they can sratch your car.

I saw those too. I will likely go and pick up a pack next week(I don't do Costco on the weekends) and try them out.

TSX, he's not talking about the yellow MF towels but the wash mitts.

hey spoiledman its the microfibers im talking about, not the washmitts. here in california, the costco i go to discontinued them and i dont know why. i bought a 16pack of microfibers for 10bucks and i really love the quality of it really, specially i was really skeptical at first.

I have tried a few mf wash mitts and have found the same problem with all of them, mf takes in the dirt but does not release it easily, especially not in a wash bucket. You end up getting too much embedded dirt and risking scratching the finish...try using them for some other purposes..

The MF wash mitts never appealed to me because of the lack of depth of the wash material. It semed like any dirt picked up in the wash process would be right on the top surface of the MF. By the same token, that dirt that is right on the top should rinse off the mitt when dipped in the rinse water. :dunno
For now, I think I'll stick to my sheepskin mitts.

I have been using MF mitts for nearly 3 years now and havent seen any in marring in that time.

I have several friends using them and none of them have had any negative comments either.

I use them when doing a bucket and hose wash and with QEW.

(The above comment does NOT refer to the Costco mitts, we dont have Costco here)

Cheers
Dave.

I tried the Costco MF washmitts and didn't like them. The dirt doesn't really release from the mitt. I am planning on returning them or just using them on my wheels. I'm gonna stick to the sheepskin mitts.

I have a few nice MF mits and like them. I only use them on my weekend car and that car never gets more than a little dusty. The car is black and I have not seen any damage in the finish. I go top to bottom and hit the mit with the hose pretty hard after washing each section. Always hit the rocker panels last.

On the daily driver I use mainly sheepskin mits because it does get filthy.

Has anyone used the Excel Microfiber Chenille Loop Washmitt?
