microfiber towels?

Korean are very good. I recently aquired some Angora's and BOA's from Carpro. My softest towels to date. I heard that the Woobie's are pretty much the same as the BOA's for softness.
 
I ordered/received my first batch of Cobra's and couldn't be happier. I will no longer buy from Target and Costco. (I'm embarrassed to admit I used to do that)

Yes,once you get hands on a Cobra or any other towel from here, you know you've got a quality towel. I never see anything of any quality outside of online.
 
I went to a detailing clinic a few months ago conducted by the owner of Adam's Polishes. For the cleaning phase of waterless washing he recommends a waffle-type microfiber as does the Junk Man in his videos. It seems like everyone else wants as plush a towel as possible. What are the thoughts on this?

I say long nap plush towel is the way to go, that way dirt is pulled away from the towel surface as much as possible. Using waffle weaves lets one towel absorb more but I have no problem using 4-6 for a waterless wash.
 
Everyone has their theory or method especially when there is marketing involved. I prefer the plusher towels.
 
I just ordered a 6 pack of the plush waterless wash ones recommended in the Autopia store. My understanding when microfibers first came out was that the waffle pattern ones were primarily for drying a wet, clean, freshly-washed surface. Hence the names Guzzler, etc. In the Junk Man waterless wash video he says to use a waffle towel because plush towels are more absorbant and will suck up all the product. Doesn't make much sense.
 
Zaino Borderless Blonde for wiping polish and wax.. (Good luck getting your hands on a set)

Cobra Guzzler for drying.

Gold Plush are good all purpose towels.
 
I just got some Microfiber Madness Crazy Pile towels from Car Pro and so far I am very impressed with them. It's the softest MF I've ever used and works very well for quick detailing.

The cloudbuster is awesome too.
 
I also prefer the Cobra line. I liked the Super Plush 600s when they were a 70/30 blend, the 5% difference is really noticeable on the ones I recently bought. I still use the 530's, Gold Plush and the Big Blue drying towels.

Chemical Guys MFs are pretty good, in general. I been using their Monster Extreme Thickness which used to be a 70 /30 blend and 550 g/m, Ultra Plush Super Premium also supposedly 70/30 (not sure of thickness) and the Microfiber Max 2-Faced Soft Touch also 70/30. These are pretty good in quality but not on an equal par with the Cobra line IMO. I've noticed recently, that CG has taken the thickness of many or all of their MFs off their web site. I'm going to stay away from commenting on their web site as I bought from their warehouse.
 
If I were You I would buy 1 towel from several credible sources and then make a bulk purchase on the ones you like.

I did this years ago, save alot of money and I still have once washed towels that have never been used. I settled on the Poorbiys DMT's the price/quality ratio was right for me for polish removal and general cleaning. I purchased a few DZ Euro shag for waterless wash where I soak 12 towels in a bucket and clean the car without re-using the towels in the winter. Car gets pre-soaked with ONR.

There other good towels out there

i have a set of these. while i like them they are not very good with some of the spray waxes i have tried to use them with

they are only used on my metallic black challenger

for the price i would not purchase them again
 
if i could only use two different towels it would be the cobra guzzler ww drying towel and a cobra gold plush junior
 
Zaino edgeless work great but are way over priced. You can get the same towel from Car-Pro it's orange but a great towel at 1/4 the cost.
I use Car-Pro and CG for my towels. I had a couple of Cobra's and found CG are just as good and cheaper. CG has towels for every task and I never had problems with any of them.
