Hello guys .

One question to you all.

What is better microfiber or 100 cotton

i have many microfiber and zaino 100% cotton towels and to tell the truth microfiber are more soft ,to buffing wax and polish residue .any opinions

If the cotton towels are soft enough then it's probably a toss-up, leaving aside the issue of lint. And for some things, I actually prefer cotton. But I often have issues with cotton becoming less-soft as it ages (I suspect my water/laundering) whereas MF stays nice and soft.

By "soft enough" I mean that the cotton won't cause any micro-marring, let alone anything clearly visible. Some place (AutoInt?) used to have some maginfied photos of paint that'd been wiped with a "good" cotton towel...looked OK to the naked eye but was all scratched up under magnification.

Definitely microfiber, IMO. Even good cotton towels loose a lot of their natural softness after washing them multiple times.

Definately prefer MF on paint(especially the Zaino MF), but still use alot of cotton for everything else like windows, engines, interiors, wheel wells and wheels.
