Microfiber and wax

This isn't about a specific product, but I was wondering after reading a few things if microfiber can be used to buff the wax residue off when you finished waxing. I always thought that you could, but a lot of places say that microfiber will take strip wax off the paint. Is that true, or is it fine to use MF?

Nearly every detailer, whether pro or weekend warrior, uses MF towels exclusively now. MF will not strip wax. Nothing but microfiber touches my car's paint.

Ditto with mblgjr's comments. I have never heard anyone assert that MF will strip wax and I have never had any problems with using MF on my car.

It was topoftheline.com. They sell Egyptian cotton towels...I think they called them diapers....and they push that those should be used to buff freshly applied wax and not to use microfiber clothes, as they will apparently remove the wax.

I use Meguairs Supreme Shine MF and nothing takes off wax/sealant like them. I can use any number of MFs and these just take the wax off better. Note: I haven't used all MFs but these are far superior in my experience to those that I have used.
