Michigan Autopians - Shop Tour 4/20

So this is coming up pretty quick, I am quite anxious to meet everyone and learn some stuff too! We need to get the final details worked out soon though!

Everyone meeting in one place or multiple places then going to the shop? Who is doing lunch and where? Any activities after? Personally I would love the opportunity to check out a Rupes if at all possible

Working on confirmation with the 2nd shop. I way we meet around 12pm either at someone's home or a strip mall close to GLC.

So, three days away; have we determined a meeting spot/time yet?

One word of caution (I may have already mentioned this) there is road construction on 28th, so for those coming from the east/southeast I would advise using a different exit to get off I-96.

If we just meet at GLC the address is:

870 40th St SE

Grand Rapids, MI 49508

Directions - Great Lakes Chemical

Sounds good to me. I say me meet at Great Lakes Chemical @ 12pm. (I'll update the OP)

Can I get a final head count????

I will be there, bringing a friend also.... or I guess you could say he is bringing me, he wants to drive his Mustang.

Well guys, as much as I hate to say it there is a very strong probability that I won't be able to make it tomorrow after all.

Earlier this evening I discovered a small flood in my basement, so I will be spending most of the night manning a shop vac and extractor, and taking things apart to dry them out. If things get to a point where it looks like I can break away I will; but my inclination right now is to say it's not likely.

Sorry to have to back out like this, I was looking forward to meeting everyone/seeing others again and touring the facilities. To all those attending, enjoy the day!

A huge thank you goes out to Terry of Great Lakes Chemical for opening up his shop to our group of Autopia.org members. Also thanks go to David Fermani for putting this together. I enjoyed meeting the other members that attended and seeing the production side of professional retail/wholesale detailing operation. Thanks again to all that made this a enjoyable experience.

I very much agree! It was definitely worth the two hour drive to get to know you guys and see a nice shop, I would love a setup like that! Can't wait to do it again :)
