Mfg's included sponge or MF applicator

Do you guys like to use the included sponge applicator (Meg's 26 or NXT paste) to apply wax or do you use a MF applicator. I was using the sponge and going front to back on the hood and having trouble getting it to cover well, it is also hard to control the amount of product on the sponge. If you swirl it in the can, it is too much, if you dab, you can't tell where it is. I know I could try the mf myself, just wondering though.

I use regular yellow applicator pads when applying products by hand. I find that MF applicators absorb a little too much product and they're not as easy to clean as a yellow applicator. As for pads that come with waxes, I don't use them. I'm thinking of getting a few of those "eleveated" applicators. Like this. It just looks like it'll make life a little easier.

You throw them away after each use?

I usually get at least a half-dozen uses out of them before they start to fall apart or get dirty looking. Seems like a waste to throw them away after one use. They shouldn't get very dirty considering you use them on a clean car.

Considering that I wax the car once a month and I use two applicators each time, it costs me roughly $20 a year to throw them away. Actually those are the Carnauba figures. With Klasse I can cut that down to waxing every 3 months or 4 times a year which costs me less than $10 a year to throw them away. I think I can handle it :D
