It seems the big thing in MF towels the past year is thicker, plusher= better.
I tend to agree with that line of thinking, but in an effort to get some use out of some of my older, not so plush MF towels, I have been using them.
Some observations.
1. More plush or less plush doesn't seem to have much bearing on the softness. The first touch feels softer, but the fabric itself didn't seem much different.
2. The more plush seemed to work better for S&W or a QD.
3. The less plush seemed to work better at wax/sealant removal.
4. The less plush seemed to work better for glass cleaning.
5. Both seemed to work equally well with DG AW when applying it on a dry vehicle, but the more plush seemed to absorb more product which would seem to be a waste. I think the less plush will be my choice for that use in the future.
It kind of pointed out to me that the latest and greatest doesn't always mean the old school stuff is worthless.
Remember when anyone that didn't have a digital watch was out of touch with the world and hopelessly behind in accepting new technology?
Any comments or observations.
