MF Towels from Wal-Mart - Any comments?

Hehehe....you obviously missed all the brake dust on the wheels of the bimmer.

The weather looks good today so I know what we will both be doing after work today:cool:

As for Tortuga - thanks for the info but I am sticking with the tried and true Neatitems towwels - and they don't get any cheaper than that (Canadian $$).

Brake dust on your bimmer?? I can't believe it. Must be to busy with the F150. I have lots of MFs left, if you sold all yours.
 
What's the "CD test"? I searched and it won't. Search terms have to be at least three letters long. :rolleyes: I tried "test" and got way too much irrelevant information.
 
The CD test is just wiping a CD (the bottom, or music side) with an MF. That side is fairly soft, so a rough MF will mar the surface.

I was in WALMART today and looked at there MF towels in the automotive dept.If you are talking about the 3 pack (yellow greenand blue) they are fine not ultra plush but acceptable.There are all grades of MF towels out there and those are fine...........Tom has better ones but that is for next time
 
Ok, so a big thanks to Deemo again for the neatitems MF hookup. :xyxthumbs



So here's what I have now:

-15x15" Autoshine MF towels from Wal-Mart



-15x15" Meguiar's Ultimate Wipe



-15x15" Neatitems MF towels



All are 70/30.



What I did was took my pair of glasses and cleaned them with the MF towels



-Autoshine: At first I was scared after I'd cleaned because it looked like there were a bunch of scratches all over my lens. It turned out just to be lint though. So the Wal-mart ones left lots of lint and I didn't really get to see how well they cleaned b/c I was so shocked after seeing all the lint.



-Meguiar's: This towel left NO lint whatsoever. And it cleaned spots that I couldn't get out even using a cleaning spray and a MF towel for glasses (seude-like feel).



-Neatitems: This towel left MAYBE one piece of lint. It also cleaned very well without the aid of solution.



SO, in terms of lint,

BTW, I didn't mention the Simoniz MF towel that I also have. This towel is also 15x15" but has that seude feel to it, making it relegated to dusting or glass duty. It cleaned ok (but not as good as the Meguiar's) and left no lint on my glasses.



IMHO, the Meguiar's Ultimate wipe and Neatitems MF towels are excellent. The Wal-mart one is adequate, but may lint a lot.
