MF towels between Pakshak vs. Exceldetail

I need more MF towels to work on customer's cars. Who should I go with? I think Scottwax is using Excel's mf and pads, right?

I mainly use the Micropak towels i got from pakshak, and they work great, but i do have some of the towels from excel and they are excellent also. Either will serve you well (keep in mind pakshak's shipping is a tad bit higher than excel's because they're out of the mainland 48 states).

Have only recently started using MF towels form Excell. The one's I have are excellent. I would highly reommend the towels.

They are different and both are great! For the price I do not think that you can beat the yellow and the blues from Excell. The ultra Plush from Pak are my fav for removing LSP's. So basically I use different ones for different jobs. You can not go wrong either way.

The blue/yellow Supremes from Excel are awesome. I have almost 50 of them, and I love every one!

The Monterey WWs are also excellent.

For customer vehicles, (and actually even my own!) I've been going with Hometex MFs from Sam's club. 18 for $10 is not a bad deal, and the towels are some of the best I've had/used, at least as good as more expensive towels from Excel, PakShak, etc.

I have excel's yellow towels they are great, I highly recomend them. You can't go wrong with either vendor imo they are both top notch.

I think the ones I got from Sams are the hometex, they are blue and where $13 for 25.

The cobra MFs (green) I got from autogeek seem to be a softer feel. So I use them to remove LSP and the Sams to remove compounds/polishes.

Excell did send me a yellow MF when I ordered some pads. It seems to be very nice!

I also use Pakshak towels and Meguiars pads.

Either Patrick or Ranney will give you top notch products and customer service. They also seem to have towels unique to their company so you might want to try towels from both.

I picked up some of these last weekend figuring they would be good for interior work, dooe jambs, etc. I was wrong. I have tried them with removing wax, qd'ing, drying. No scratches. Give them a try, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Both have excellent towels

Personally, my preferneces are:

Drying: Excel's Monterey WW

LSP removal: Pakshak's microPak ultra fine is unrivaled for LSP removal.

Polish removal: Both the micropak ultra or the excel supremes are great

I still need to try excel's elite and their borderless polish towels, which I asssume would be a close match to the pakshaks ultra plush and ultra fine respectively. Other towels are fine (WCD's green are great also), but please, avoid the chemical guys 15" x 24"..... soft but very very thin. They are the only detailing product I bought online that I returned :(

There are two different Hometex MFs at Sam's Club. I have the 18-count bag (70/30 blend) which I purchased about 8 months ago and just picked up a 25-count bag (80/20 blend) last week. Both were similarly priced (if memory serves), at approx. $10-$14 or so.

Comparing the two, I prefer the slightly plusher 70/30 blend ones as they feel softer to me wet or dry and also seem more absorbant. I think I'll use the 80/20's for general-purpose cleaning (interior, doorjambs, around the house, etc.) and keep the 70/30's for quick-detailing, spot-drying, etc. Both are good deals, IMHO.

Both Pakshak and Exceldetail are awesome vendors with fantastic customer service. I have towels from both.

I really do like the Pakshak Ultra Fines and Ultra plushes for product removal and quick detailing. :xyxthumbs
