MF Towels: 1st Impression/Question?

so my mom picked up a 12 pack of 16x16 MF towels today from costco, no cash to get the Pakshak's or anywhere else yet, but i wont detail my truck again until the weather turns nice. Anyway i can totally see how these things pick up way more of anything. my hands feel smooth to the touch, but rubbing my hands over them makes it feel like my hands are made of sandpaper, they grab every little imperfection.

so do i need to run these through the wash once or twice before using them? if so, what is safe to wash them with and how should i dry? thanks

I'd wash them at least once...I like to use Tide Free and run them though the dryer at med-temp until dry...not too hot or you'll damage the fibers.

You can run them through the wash with a good liquid detergent like Tide. Nothing harsh, and definitely no bleach. Use warm to very warm water. You can then choose to air dry or use a low setting on the dryer. No fabric softener. And also, you must not wash or dry MF's with anything but MF's, or the lint will ruin them.

Washing them once gets rid of any lose fibers which might scratch your car's finish, and removes any stray lint also. Enjoy them.

The "grabbiness" you feel of MF towels is completely normal. They do catch every single speck of skin protruding from your hand, but eventually you get used to it. :)

tell me about it, i almost dont like holding them they feel weird. maybe better after i wash em, or maybe wear some ruber gloves hehe

My imagination runs wild thinking about the types of clothing that should be made from mf. Sweaters, for example.

Well, I was thinking clingy female sweaters, but since everything is so PC these days and this isn't a mens club, I'll only say that I say that with a smile rather than a smirk. :D
