MF towel used with Swiffer broom

I purchased a Swiffer to clean the hardwood floors in my house. After going through several of the towels in a short period of time, I thought to myself--could I attach a MF towel to this thing? Having purchased a new package of Concordia MF's from Walmart for household cleaning, I put one on the Swiffer broom and it worked like a charm. The MF seemed to pick up dirt and dust as well as the Swiffer towels.

Has anyone else done this or something similar? Those Swiffer towels are not cheap and I may now not need to purchase anymore!:bounce

Why not just wrap a towel in a sponge mop? That's what we do, works like a charm and the towels are cleaner than using the sponge alone. As far as MF is concerned, personally I think it's overkill, an old bath towel works best.

I've been using a MF on a Swiffer broom for about a year in my house. Works great! The MF is gonna grab all kinds of nasty stuff off the floors so you'll have to rinse it a few times per use. I've tried the cotton terry towel over the Swiffer broom with so-so results. The MF works much better.

Another MF-on-Swiffer (actually Vileda brand) user here. With Woodwise on hardwood, Pine-sol spray & Mop on textured ceramic tile, and Cinch 2-In-One on smooth granite tile. I find the MF holds onto pet hair better than the cotton did. Instead of rinsing it I just flip it over when it's dirty or use a fresh one.
