My day with Blackfire….
Candidate: 93 Polo Green Vette
Surface condition: very good
The surface had been cleaned with PPCL in November and a couple of coats of PPG applied (had just receieved wanted to try). Vehicle kept in garage.
Blackfire polish applied with PC, speed 4, two coats. No problems. Went on easy, took off with a Neatitem MF towel. Comes off very easy, unless you get some water in it, then it requires a little extra rubbing. I broke out the Mark1Breathmister and that took care of it. I had just wash the car prior to polishing it so I did this more than I wanted. Minor complaint.
Very happy with the end results.
Oh, almost forgot the most important part: the smell. Reminds me of the fresh produce section of a grocery store. Very nice to work with (BPP same).
My Klasse exp. is on a different car and color so I cannot do a direct comparison. The polish is very similar to AIO, surface felt a bit slicker with BFP.
Based on SG exp. I decided to apply the BPP by hand, very easy to work with. Applied thin coats using a MF applicator. Intially removed it with a MF towel, found it took several swipes to get it off. Decided to try the Koala towel that came with it, mainly because I’ve never used one, it takes it right off. I prefer the Koala for removal.
Up to 7 coats one week later, several applied 1 after another with no gumming or difficulty removing.
Shine is deep and wet looking, feels slick. Extremely pleased. I put 3x SG on top of the BFP on one of my mirrors just to check it out. Comes right off, maybe a hair less slippery than the other mirror when it had 3xBPP on it.
I definitly recommend the product! Do I like it better than Klasse? It’s a tough call; the BPP has the potential to be easier than SG to apply and remove. I need to try SG without using a qd on the applicator next time (this is the only way I’ve used it). I applied it (SG) to BFP directly and it wiped right off. Again, I haven’t applied Klasse to this car so I don’t want to make an appearance comparison. It looks great.
Well, hope this entertains someone.

Need to buy another car so I have a test bed for Ziano.
