Mf cloths repeling water?

How about adding a little Dawn to the wash water in the washing maching? Wouldn't that break down/eliminate any wax residue? I know excess suds becomes a problem but would just a little Dawn work?

I'm biased, but I would not. I still think the better thing to do is pre-soak them instead. I'm trying Simple Green because they suggest it for doing laundry (yeah right, not in a machine! ) but am hoping it's stronger than Dawn. I say this because of reports about how Dawn doesn't reliably strip wax well.
