My neighbor has been bugging me to detail his truck for a few weeks.

Today was the day, and we had fun!

Everything was done in full sun (I'm used to working in a garage). You guys that work outside in various sun/heat conditions -hat's off to you!!

Process Used:

Wash:

Z7 wash

Wheels: Z7 x 4 (concentrated & brushes)

Wells/Rubber: Hi-Temp tire cleaner

Wheels::Finals

Z6/Z8 on the rims

Z16 on the rubber.

Polish: Zaino ZPC

Metabo @ 1100 using a LC green med-cut pad.

Metabo @ 1100 via LC finishing pad.

Z6 wipe downs.

LSP: Z5Pro(zfx) - used on the paint, & trim, glass.

Finals: Z8

A few after shots…..

Beautiful! The paint looks very rich and wet!

What polish did you use? You only listed the rotary, speeds and pads. :nixweiss

Oops.... I edited my post. ZPC was used to polish.

Thanks for the heads-up and kind words Scottwax.

Looks great! I love the metabo, but feel sometimes I have to crank it up to have more torque, ever feel that way? Also how do you apply the polish to the panel or pad, and how many passes did it take to finish down? Looks great !!!

John, Stunning Work! That truck is just dripping and the flake looks like its trying to escape the paint. I love the first pic the best, but that flake pop is excellent too! I tried the ZPC myself yesterday and i'm sold.

Thanks everyone.

I love my Metabo --It's worth every penny (IMO). It has such an excellent, balanced feel.

It was a real time saver on this detail. It would have taken significantly longer to knock down swirls with the PC. Dodge trucks are absolutely massive!!

Greg,

I agree ZPC is an excellent polish that works well as a SMR, and as a finishing polish.

I primed my pad with 1 trigger of Z6 (as suggested by others on the boards) and didn't have any dusting issues (there was a little, but not much).

:bigups John, absolutely sweet you really have some nice flake shots..your work isn't bad either ;) I'm liking Zaino on the wheels..i would have to say you have a very lucky neighbor.. :usa

4 rains later -and a Nor'Easter in progress and the owner is happy.

He just stopped over and handed me an Amstel Lite

Yes !!!!!!!!!

:lock: :lock: :lock:

STUNNING work! I also did the exact truck in dark blue. Man, there is a lot of real estate on these trucks! Metal flake is awesome!!!:goodjob
