Hey man, nice work... but just to let you know, even if that car WAS clearcoated, it wouldnt have the cermi-clear, as it is only a 2000-2002 model year, and by that time, MB was not yet painting cars with cermiclear.

Good to know.. learn something new everyday. Thanks!

Beautiful turnaround!....I can't believe the crap work that is out there. How do you paint the tail of a car and not take off the damn plate? I happen to like single stage, but not when you don't know how much there is. I would imagine not much, considering the quality of the rest of the work.

From reading the first part of your post, I wasn't expecting much but the turnaround is a HUGE difference. That its awesome work man. You standards for "ok" are pretty high. I bet the customer must have been surprised to see those results.

How long did this detail take you to do?

Thanks again guys.. I really appreciate the comments.

The customer did :shocked while I did :woot:

That car took me a good 10hrs. I did a lot of that car with a PC and spot buff pads which took some time to do.

Plus the ceramic is in the clear, so single stage paint wouldn't be ceramiclear anyway.
