First off, I should note this is the first time to ever use my PC and FPII.
I bought IP and FPII to use with my LC pads. I decided to start with the FPII and a white pad and see where that left me. The results were awesome! There are still a few places I could go over again or try out the IP, but I am very satisfied so far.
So what are my issues you ask?
Here is the scenario:
1st application: PC+FPII @ 3-3.5 speed (light pressure) on a 2x2 area
wipe off
2nd application: PC+FPII @ 4-4.5 speed (little to no pressure) on a 2x2 area
wipe off
During the day, I had no issues here but I took a break to go out with some friends and came back later that night to finish the hood. I dont know if it was because I was not buffing long enough or if the cooler night air was causing issues. I was getting an oily smear trying to remove product. It would still squeak when wiping but I could see that I was not getting the smears out. I am certain I used the same amount of product.
It all turned out to be fine as I used denatured alcohol to prep surface for Zaino, but I was a little frustrated given my success earlier in the day.
In general how long should I work the product? Would this change depending on temp and humidity (I would think yes)? Is there a good way for me to know when I can wipe off?
BTW, I am using clean DF towels. I did move to a 2nd fresh towel and it was no different.
Thanks, in advance!:up
