Menzerna Polishes...Is a Rotary required??

This question was brought up on a different thread. I think that it is worth discussing.

Have used both PC and rotary to get a good finish on my black truck. I get results using either. I do believe that the rotary does the job faster. Although I am not sure that it is easier..? Does faster equate to easier?

This does not have to be confined to one product line. Is there a prefered product for Rotary? Can this prefered product produce results with a PC? Is there a product line that will not work with a rotary? The same question for the PC? Is there a product one should not use with a rotary or PC?

How about some expert opinions?

Required? No.

I only use a rotary for detailing, however, people use them by PC all the time.

Menzerna was designed for the rotary so they may work a little longer than, say, Poorboy's. They produce an outstanding looking finish without any fillers...whatsoever. Here are some speed/pad combos I like with Menzerna...

PO85RD/FPII via rotary and a finishing pad @ 1500 rpm
PO85RD/FPII via rotary and a polishing pad @ 1500 rpm (for harder CCs)
Powergloss via rotary and a polishing pad @ 1500 rpm (for moderate swirling)
Powergloss via rotary and a cutting/wool pad @ 1500 rpm (for heavy swirling)

Used correctly, Powergloss can be followed up with PO85RD/FPII and a finishing or polishing pad...it finishes that well.

So the PO85Rd/merzerna can be used with a PC it will just take a little more time to work the product .the only reason i havent' used mine is because i was under the impression you needed a rotary to achieve the nice finish produced by the merzerna polish.

You will see maximum results via rotary. It can do a good job via Cyclo. I wasn't completely please via PC.
