I fiiguered I would give my keyed hood another try with Menzerna.
I had touched up the scratch a bit wher eit went very deep. With Metalic colors it is pretty much impossible to get the perfect match.
Here is a before pic with the touch up paint:
Here is the after with Menzerna Intensive Polish applied with a 4" polishing pad at firts on 3 and then moved to 6.
The result:
on some spots the scratch is almost completely gone, you really have to look for it, but as you can see in the above picture, which was pretty bad, Menzerna was able to "smooth " out the scratch. It cut the clear coat pretty good, but, because the scratch was so deep where the color underneath is different, the scratch is still visible.
Overall a great product, but not for keyed cars. I dont think there is any cure for that except a repaint. :laugh:
