thanks... i watched that video prob 4 times... helped me keep the splatter down... we'll see about buffing off the residue tho...
 
You hazing problem could be your working into to long or to dry, give FP2 a try if you have it. It easier to work with.

Which brings up one more suggestion that I use that works good as well. If you're using a rotary, work in the FP, or, FPII to a light haze on the panel. Stop, next, give the panel a very light misting of water, then use a finishing pad until you cannot see anymore residue haze. for this step. I've seen this done with rotaries for really good effect, but I tend to stay with the d/a for this final application. This does add an additional step, but I have found that this can help bring up the gloss, and also can make residue removal easier.
 
hmm that seems interesting usdm... im gonna give it a try tomorrow... ill post results/pics.. hopefully it makes a difference
 
Good deal. I plan to do some more work on my crappy hood tomorrow, so i will try to post some pictures of the procecure.
