Menzerna FMJ durability?

Hi everyone!

I have some FMJ coming in the mail tommarow ( 8 oz. ).

I was wondering how durable it is? I live in MN as most of you know and the winters are very long. Im going with the FK1 #2180 and pink wax for my vehicle this winter but I was thinking about using FMJ if its durable enough. Any input would be great! Thanks

Greg

FMJ is a really nice lsp...looks great and one of the easiest to apply/remove. Also really slick like UPP maybe more so but like UPP slickness drops after a couple washes or rainstorm.

Max durability to me is a bit suspect. Beading characteristics change pretty quicky and compared to others i've tried i don't think i'll be buying it again. It is a good product otherwise but i would rather use something else

I too am looking to go with FK1 #2180 and pink wax which i just got last week along with the 425 spray. I've read great reviews and like what i see from the pictures that i've seen so hopefully this will work out. I also btw recently applied EX-P on my fathers car and will do my mothers car with either zaino or klasse for comparison.

Currently for me the undisputed champ of protection is Zaino Z2Pro...it has never dissapointed me in this aspect. After the rediculous nonstop rain we've had here in the Northeast for the last week zaino was still slick to the touch and still looked "freshly done" after i washed it yesterday when the sun finally came out. Though this was applied at the end of last August.

But again i do have hopes for th FK1 products as they seem to have a great lineup and interesting philosophy on paint care.

FMJ looks great and super slick. I applied 1 layer on a friend's car which is parked outside all the time (he has no garage). It was applied mid-winter so I just saw it 3 months later mid-spring.
I'd say it was 80-90% dead by the time I saw it.
With 2-3 layers it probably would've done alright.
If you plaster enough layers it should go through the whole winter, but it's no competitor to Zaino on the durability side of things. I do prefer the look on red, though.

FMJ is one of the first lsp's that I used when starting on this forum. Ease of application is second to none. Slickness is also right up there. The only complaint that I have ever had was the durability was a little suspect for a product that is so expensive.

Menzerna FMJ looks good! Yet, I moved on to other products(poorboy's & Zaino) that looked the same, cost less, or had better longevity.

FMJ is in my top 3 for sealants. The look is amazing. I must be the odd one out, i had my 4 coats of FMJ last 6 months before i did my winter prep.

i would say it is. I had it 2 coats on during some pretty cold and wet weeks and it was still slick and beading pretty well.
