Someone posted earlier about FMJ going bad. My bottle after shaking comes out with small globs. I called CMA and they said as long as it doesn't smell foul it is still good. I can't remember how it supposed to smell, but it doesn't smell foul like rotten milk or something. My questions is whether any of you guys see little whitish globs as well? The color is more milky pink looking instead of intense red like it used to be. I was planning on using it this weekend but not if it is going bad.

I use FMJ also.
I have one of the big bottles. Got it over a year ago. I have not used it in a while. I did use it the other day. It had the small globs in it as you did. Shaking the bottle made it a little better but I could not get rid of all the globs.
It did look great on my car though

Just checked my FMJ supply and it is glob-less. I typically use it once per month, or at least give it a little shake that often. Does not smell foul.

Well, there's my answer . . . I asked in another FMJ thread if anyone had noticed a stench creeping into FMJ as it aged, and if it was indicative of the stuff having gone bad. Mine's pretty foul. Too bad; I probably had 12 oz. or so left from the original 16 oz. bottle.

I didn't buy my FMJ new; I bought some on the Hot Tub trading post from another Autopian and it came pink colored with a funky smell. Without a point of reference, I thought that was how it's supposed to be. It's the only thing that has troubled me about the product. What is it supposed to look like and smell like? Strangely enough I have been pleased with its performance to date; maybe my expectations are too low.

It is amazing how one product works great for one user and his situation and not work at all for another detailer. That's why it is dishonest to generalize one's personal encounter with a product and state that it must be true for all users of this product. Completely false conclusion.
If FMJ works for you and gives you the protection and apperance you require. FMJ is doing its job and a wonderful purchase on your part. Enjoy that fact you found something you like and meets your needs. It a wonderful feeling.:woot2:
