Menzerna Ceramiclear Polish and FMJ Full Review (finally)

I have IP and FPII...both are excellent products.

What vendor carries the PO85RD and PO106?? I'd like to try them.

So far, no one is offering these online.

I order by the case direct from Menzerna, so in the past I was sending 8oz samples to some members. Due to my workload, some got the samples late. Shipping is always a PITA. But those that got it love playing with it!

I do hope that someone will offer these polishes online soon as they do work quite well in the right hands.

Once the warmer weather arrives and the demand increases, I'll be ordering cases of the polishes along with the Power Gloss.

I'm trying to find a distributor or dealer within the area, but hard pressed to find one. Most body supply houses are 3M type and do not change or add products. Menzerna cannot compair to 3M in abrasives and polish formulation.

Bill, yep, I've been around, just busy and in the middle of a re-model of the condo. 50" Pana Plasma soon to arrive :D

If anyone finds these polishes online, I'd love to know the prices.

Regards,

Deanski

Yeah, the Menzerna USA site really could use some upgrading including and describing in good detail these polishes for Ceramiclear

Regarding the FTG...I have heard reviews on it producing excellent lasting results as well. Next time around I will give it a shot.

Bill: I will mention that to Menzerna. I am doing a report on Menzerna for my Management Consulting class. Yes, when completed, Autopia and DC will get copies.

Mike: You have a PM:D

grt1today: I will be doing a detail this weekend with PO106, FTG, and I had planned on topping with Adam's Butter Wax, but I will do FMJ for the sake of this thread

JohnnyDaJackal: You also have a PM:p

BurlyQ: You have an email.

How did I get so involved in this thread!

According to Jeff@Menzerna there are no vendors that carry these polishes. Mainly due to the fact that no body shop in the U.S. can repaint using ceramiclear. Thus, no real demand for it. Unless enough people email Jeff@Menzerna a lot. Just so everyone know, PO106 is the same as PO85RD, except PO106 has a more concentrated amount of abrassives. So the final finish should be the same!

I also picked up the Menzerna Acrylic shield, pretty good stuff guys. I did have the hood with it, and the other half with Adam's, so I will see if the Acrylic shield helps the longevity!;)

Alright, maybe I'll e-mail him. I'll urge him to do so and point out the rather dedicated population of folks on internet detailing forums; emphasizing how those of them who may have a Ceramiclear or generally harder finish would be interested.

Oh well, I guess my feedback, and I assume those of others as of late, has fallen upon deaf ears. I received no acknowledgment from Menzerna. Maybe the relatively small number of "private users and detailers" isn't much concern to them. :nixweiss

I'll re post if I ever get a respsonse. I did send them this link to read for themselves.

Well guys, as I said I did a detail using FTG and FMJ. All in all I did get some smearing with FTG. I don't know if it was the temp outside or what. It wasn't really bad, just enough to make it a little difficult. It seems to give nice depth and gloss to the finish. Hard to do after using PO106, that stuffs make a crazy gloss, but FTG added a little something to the finish! And of course FMJ worked it's magic once again. I can't get over how good that stuff is!!

That's Grt news to hear 04cobra(except for the smearing). I think I will give the FTG a try in between the other steps. I will probably try it with a finishing pad though and see if it makes any difference. Did it seem to darken the paint at all? I also can't wait to try the FMJ too. Any feedback on that menzerna QD?

I work FTG on a slow speed for best results, about ~3-4. Also if you have one of those microfinger pads, try that.

I think the FTG smearing may be due to the temperature, and I may have let it dry too much! May have been user error, so give it a try for yourself. As far as darkening the paint, it darkened it, but kicked up the glossy look as well. You will be blown away when you use the FMJ, i'm amazed everytime I use it! Well the Mnezerna QD must be for function, I don't really notice any better appearance, or slickness really. It will make the surface a little slicker than without it, but nothing impressive like Adam's! But I think it's a functional QD to preserve and prolong the FMJ, if that's the case than that is what you should expect from it! I'm doing a side by side on my car with it and Adam's on each side of my hood. One side gets acrylic shield and the other get's Adam's!

Just a little heads up for everyone, I got an email from Jon @ CMA today, he says he has the ceramiclear line in stock!:D:D

I emailed them about buying some of this and got a response today from Jeff at MenzernaUSA . There's no problems getting this product by the sound of his reply .
