Menzerna 106ff, how easy is it for a new user?

Ok, I've been hearing a lot about the 106ff lately. From what I understand this polish will do really well at removing defets even though it is considered a finishing polish and is applied with a white or gray pad. Is the 106ff really easy to use, even for someone who has no experience with a PC and abrasive polishes? Is it really true that a finishing polish does not need to be used after 106ff? How agressive is 106ff compared to the SSR polishes? Is it easier to use than the SSRs?

Should I be using this on my newer GM finish? From what I gather, the 106ff has lots of tiny abrasive elements. I'm not for sure if this will be too agressive of a polish for me.

Its a finishing polish and should be used with a finishing pad. The polish acts funny depending on the weather. But you really cant mess up.

Honestly. I used it in 40 degree weather if not colder and it never acted up. Now SIP is a different story. That is very finicky on the weather. Also, I've used it with a LC Orange pad with GREAT results.

106 can be used with anything from LC orange to blue. White to gray is probably what is used most of the time

It's not aggressive. I use it with a polishing pad on a PC and am able to remove light swirl marks. It won't correct deep swirls or scratches.

You answered your own question :wavey

I'm just confused on how it can contain tiny abrasives, yet be reccomended to use correct very hard scratch resistant finishses.

How does the 106ff work on finishes that are soft?

It has very tiny abrasives that don't cut deep. The abrasives are very hard, though, and therefore can cut through scratch resistant finishes. Thus they don't cut very deep, but will cut through the hardest clears. Make sense?

Does the 106ff need to be topped with a finishing polish? Or does it not induce any polishing marring?

Menzerna PO106FF is one of the best finishing polishes in the world. So the answer is no, you don´t need to hit it with a finishing polish.

Have you tried waxing or sealing straight away after polishing with Menzerna FF without doing IPA (or Prep-Sol) wipedown or applying an AIO product?

I know the theory... remove the oils with this products and then apply the sealer/wax. But I never tried it.

Many times with no problems.

With regard the weather. It isnt how cold that messes it up, its how damp. So in the UK you find many detailers complain it isnt for this time or yr or for low temps. b/c of dampness that is in the climate.

Are you referring to the 106ff or sealing/waxing?

I've never had any trouble with it in damp weather. We get a lot of damp weather here, too.
