Menz SIP or 203?

I'm fairly new to machine polishing. I bought poorboys SSR1 and SSR 2.5 with my PC and i'm not too happy with them. they dust and sling and just don't seem to correct much at all.



I've read amazing things about menzerna products and i'm looking for a one step correction (or as close to it as i can find).



I've read great things about Menzerna SIP and 203 as well as Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0. I've also read that Meg's 151 is great but i think i want something with a little more cut as i'm going to be working with my corvette which has a clear coat like a rock.



What do you guys think?

What color is the vette?



As for a one step you can't go wrong with p203s and a green pad from detailersdomain...



however your going to have to live with deeper swirls.



i reccomend just getting an orange pad and SIP and follow up with 106fa and a white pad.

The vette is black. I don't have pics of the paint condition at the moment.



I've had it for almost 2 years from being new. Overall the paint is in good shape. Nothing horrible. Under light you can see small spiderweb scratches around the whole body. But like i said...overall the paint is in good shape. It's never seen a car wash and always washed by hand with 2 buckets and a foam gun. It always has protection on it as well.

I think you could get away with p203s and a white or green pad and it'll look great, if you get hazing you could still use p203s with a black pad to refine the finish
 
After what i've been reading today i might just say eff it and try HD Uno. Seems like an amazing product.
 
Love the black wheels on your c6zo6. I am going to be trying D151 next, I have heard good things bout it's one step abilities. I also like M205 as you can pair it with different pads for different levels of cut/polishing.
 
i've heard great things about D151. the only issue is that it doesn't have too much cut to it and the corvette clear is rock hard....so i think i need something with a little more bite. going back and fourth between 203, SIP, and Uno....
 
My personal favorite is PO203. It cuts really well and finishes LSP ready (this is subjective) with an orange LC pad on many paints. Some people have different standards, but perfection is one and the same to all. It doesnt sound like you are looking for absolute perfection. For someone not extremely experienced in paint correction I would suggest Power Finish (PO203) with no question over the other two products you listed.



I would recommend that if you are a beginner to correction and looking for the best results you are capable of for this venture to purchase cutting and finishing pads and products.



I can tell you from experience that your Vette would look amazing (even though I have never inspected the paint on your car) after you use a PC, PO203, and orange LC CCS pads for correction.
 
203 on white would be better than 203 with green....working with a pc that is.



You will get rid of the haze and the minor stuff, but the deeper stuff will remain. If you need more cut, i would just get something like 105 and an orange pad/green pad, then follow that with 203 with black/white
