I am new here and have been looking over this site for a number of days. I found the site from a reference over on the Garage Journal Forum. The timing is excellent as I am in the later stages of a restoration and learning how to care for it and my daily cars will be a plus.
I have a number of questions and rather than ask them all at once I will break them up.
The first questions deals with Megs products. In color sanding and buffing my Hudson I used used this system. Color sanded with 600 thru 1500 grit wet, then using a PC I started with Dupont No. 7 Rubbing Compound, then Megs, Diamond cut 2.0 #85(M-8532), 2nd, Dual action cleaner polish #83(M-8332), third, Swirl free polish #82(M-8232), finished with Synthetic sealer # 21(M-2116). With the PC I used Speedy foam pads on an Acrylic Lacquer paint surface
This system was recommended by the restoration shop where I purchase most of my supplies.
I keep seeing references to Meg's M-105 and M-205, is this the same products I used (containers look the same) or is what I used for a rotary machine and the 105 and 205 for Orbital? If they are different products can I continue to use what I have to use them up?
I was also told that the Meg's Synthetic Sealant was the professional version of NXT and was more durable, yes; no?
Thanks in advance.
