Meguiars?

I want to use a sealant on my truck this weekend after I wax it. Out of the Meguiars NTX products which would I use? The paste or tech wax? Both say they protect and seal? The auto parts store around here mainly carry Meguiars products and turtle wax products so I am limited to what I can buy. I will be waxing with a Meguiars wax just want to know if I can use the tech wax or paste on top of that?

The paste and liquid are pretty much the same. Meg's makes both because they know different people have different preferences and they want to give customers the option.

Use whichever you enjoy.

PC.

I just want to add that the TW Platinum series is also very good. I love the NXT and use it, but I'd be happy with either.

You say that you are waxing the car with Meguiars, what do you mean as are you using a product such as Cleaner wax first? If you are its probably a wasted step unless the car is pretty dirty and needs a good chemical cleaning. NXT has very light cleaners and probably will remove the protection from the cleaner wax. The slight cleaner in NXT should be enough if the car is in rather good shape. I suggest claying the car and using a cleaner polish such as Mothers Power Polish or Meguiars #9 before NXT if the car is in rather poor shape.

I used meguiars cleaner wax after I washed and clayed the truck. The paint is in good shape but my question is can, should I use the meguairs tech wax paste on top of the cleaner wax or is the cleaner wax a wasted step and I should just use the tech wax paste after I clay?

Use the NXT after claying. The cleaner wax leaves some protection behind, but the light cleaners in NXT will likely clean off any previous layer of protection.

So wash>clay>NXT Tech Wax

There is a paste and a liquid version because some people prefer applying pastes, while others prefer liquids. I prefer pastes.

They're basically the same and it is all about preference. I prefer the paste, but some people have trouble getting it on in the very very thin coat that you should apply it. Some people prefer the liquid, which is also a good choice for machine application (though either will do).

Whichever you choose, make sure to put it on verrry thinly and it'll be a breeze to buff off.
