Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant

Rasky, have you used Poorboys or Chemical Guys trim restorer stuff?

Nope. I honestly don't like dressing trim unless it really needs it. I will usually use something like Hyper Dressing, Water Based Dressing, 303, or M40.

Exterior trim dressings is one area I haven't done much experimenting with as I've been happy with my current products. I prefer trying out new waxes/sealants. :)

Chad, you must def give Poorboy's Trim Restorer a try. I did a write up on this product not too long ago that will be going live on Detailed Image here soon but it's by far superior to the many things I have used to help bring back neglected trim. Depending on the condition will determine how many light applications you apply. The key is, just letting it sit on the surface after the initial wipe and let is soak into the material. Then after the results are achieved, wipe up and put whatever UV Protection product you may. I'll get ya some pics too if ya really want.

I'll have to keep an eye out for it. There are a few PB and CG products I want to try and will add the trim restorer to the list. :2thumbs:

Bogi, none of these in the Canadian Tires and Wal-Marts in the cities around here. :( Don't know which part of Canada you're in, but you have access to more products than I do. Lucky, I'm jealous. :D

Is there anything that's meg's related on MOL actually NOT reported as a favorable product? :lol

We'll see about it. Meg's is coming out with a LOT of new stuff this year. Still awaiting the announcement of the new SOLO 2.0.... Supposed to be something out of this world from what I've been hearing...

What? Is this true? Is Meguiar's going to release a new SOLO formula? :woot:

I grabbed some ultimate protectant at advance auto a few weeks ago, but the weather has been total crap and way too cold to even try it out!

Does this stuff damage paint? I bought some and it states to not to apply to paint. Or does it state this to point out it does not provide protection for paint?

I'm sure it would be fine if it got on the paint and it's probably on there as a "dummy light" for the consumer....just like the NXT says not to get on textured plastic. ;)

I bought a bottle of this on a whim, and after a week it seems to be outperforming Black Wow on the same surface of the same car (tried Black Wow there about a month ago and it lasted for 1-2 weeks, this is on a cowling that's pretty faded).
